Victor Irokansi is in his fourth season as defensive line coach at Old Dominion.
One of Irokansi's strength at Old Dominion has been to take a young, inexperienced group and turn them into a strength for the Monarch defense. The ODU defensive line helped ODU rank fourth in the Sun Belt in rush defense and fifth in overall scoring. The group, led by redshirt sophomore Denzel Lowry, saw a variety of starters see time due to injury but maintain a stout front. ODU ran a three down defensive front in 2023 and the Monarchs started five different linemen and went eight deep on many occasions.
